The Lakers are in the bottom half of the Western Conference, and after their fourth consecutive loss Wednesday night against the Grizzlies, the future of the team does not look bright. Los Angeles is currently 17-25 and its chances of making the playoffs are rapidly decreasing with every loss.

After the Lakers suffered a defeat from the hands of the Grizzlies, Steve Nash spoke to the media and Arash Markazi tweeted his reaction to the Lakers’ struggles.

Nash: “It’s another chapter in a difficult season… It’s been a nightmare the last three weeks.”

At this point, the Lakers need to go back to basics and begin having fun playing basketball. The team chemistry is clearly lacking and the players do not look comfortable on the court.

Time is running out for the Los Angeles Lakers and a lot must change in order for this team to make the post-season. The trade deadline is approaching and there is a chance the front-office decides to make a deal. However, if the roster stays as it is, the coaching staff and players have to find a way to get on the same page.
