Lakers News: Steve Nash Will Host NBA TV Documentary On 1984 NBA Draft

The future remains uncertain for two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash as the veteran point guard weighs his options heading into the off-season. Nash may be on the verge of retirement with one year left with the Los Angeles Lakers, but in the meantime, the future Hall of Famer will be focusing on the past hosting a documentary on one of the best drafts in NBA history.

According to Mark Medina of L.A. Daily News, Nash will host an NBA TV documentary on the 1984 NBA draft:

After orchestrating so many dazzles plays on the court, Lakers guard Steve Nash will soon host something that does not involve running the pick-and-roll. Nash will serve as the host of NBA TV’s upcoming documentary on the 1984 NBA Draft titled “The84Draft during its airing on Monday, June 9 at 9 p.m. ET.

The 1984 NBA draft was arguably one of the most talented drafts in the history of the league. Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and John Stockton were all apart of this draft and all went on to be Hall of Famers.

Nash was also came into the league in an elite draft class back in 1996 and will talk about his own class in the documentary. Nash was drafted along with Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen and Peja Stojakovic. Other notable players in that draft are Stephon Marbury, Antoine Walker, Jermaine O’Neal, Marcus Camby, Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
