Lakers Photo: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Sees ‘Hungry Eyes’ In Locker Room

The Los Angeles Lakers have made it a habit of bringing in different celebrities, businessmen and influencers to speak to the team this season as a means of growing players off the court. One person who recently came in was Dwayne Johnson, the highest grossing actor in Hollywood. He, of course, is also very well known for his time in WWE as “The Rock.”

Johnson spoke to the team before a recent win over the Denver Nuggets, and Lakers head coach Luke Walton even suggested that his presence may have had something to do with Kyle Kuzma’s huge performance that night.

Regardless, Johnson recently took to his Instagram to share his feelings on the experience. In addition to joking about being uncomfortable by players towering over him, Johnson noted that the young Lakers looked extremely ‘hungry’ during his time with them:

The hunger and desire of this young Lakers team has been evident throughout the season. Expectations weren’t high going into the year, but this team has surpassed all of them, battling with and defeating some of the NBA’s best teams despite going through struggles any team in their position goes through.

The fact that this desire to be great was evident to Johnson, who isn’t around the team regularly just shows the focus of this team. Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, Lonzo Ball, Kuzma and the rest of this young core has plans on being great and it is apparent to anyone who comes around.
