Lakers Plan to Leave Princeton Offense With Brown Firing

The Los Angeles Lakers are finally moving away from the Princeton offense, a system that Mike Brown decided to implement into the playbook for this season.

The Lakers fired Mike Brown earlier this morning, meaning the team is moving away from his controversial decision to use the Princeton Offense. Although the Lakers will likely use some of Brown’s plays during tonight’s game, Adrian Wojnarowski tweets that the firing was “about the offense.”

Many people criticized Brown for using the Princeton Offense and it was obvious by the way the Lakers were playing that the system did not fit them. The players seemed to be lost while on the court and that was reflected in their 1-4 start to the season.

There were many questions about the Princeton Offense’s place in the professional league and it looks like the Lakers are ready to move on from the disappointing system.
