The Los Angeles Lakers returned to the practice floor on Wednesday after using Tuesday to rest up after a three-game roadtrip. Jordan Hill missed practice with an upper respiratory infection, and is day-to-day. Lakers head coach Byron Scott believes he’ll be available to practice tomorrow.

After the Lakers loss to the the Indiana Pacers, Jeremy Lin said one of the most difficult things for him is knowing that he has more to offer this Lakers team.

After practice on Wednesday, Scott was asked about Lin’s comments:

If you got a lot more to give, give it to us then,” Scott smiled. On what Lin can improve, Scott specified “be more aggressive, just be smart when he’s out there playing. Our last conversation was basically you’ve got to understand who you’re playing with, gotta get those guys involved because he’s a guy that’s always been ball-dominant.”

Scott continued that he wants Lin to be able to take the best shots available to him while at the same time making sure to facilitate the offense for his teammates.

Scott was also asked about Carlos Boozer showing improvements in his role off the bench. Scott acknowledged that Boozer wants to get back into the starting lineup, but said Boozer is “accepting that (bench) role as a challenge.”

Julius Randle was also seen at practice today, continuing his rehab from a fractured tibia. Randle was recently seen walking without crutches at the University of Kentucky and confirmed he’s been getting around without crutches, as of late. Of course, Randle was officially declared out for the season after his injury.

As far as facing the Oklahoma City Thunder, Scott says they plan to switch up their defensive schemes on Friday, with both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on the floor.
