More free agency updates! After the initial report that broke shortly after midnight eastern time concerning the team and Chris Copeland, two more tweets surfaced with two more names the Lakers are supposedly interested in.

First came this tweet from ESPN’s Dave McMenamin concerning a reunion with Jordan Farmar;

Former LAL guard J. Farmar and the Lakers have been in touch. Source characterized it as "mutual interest," but depends on other dominoes

Next up was Chase Budinger, courtesy of Mark Medina.

Bradbury also said Lakers expressed interest to him in his client Chase Budinger

Budinger would be a tough sell for the Lakers, as Mike Bresnahan explains here;

Lakers also like Chase Budinger but it's a severe long shot. He'll get more than $3.1 mill they can offer him annually, league source says.

The team’s currently salary cap constraints would be tricky if they were looking at a player like Budinger, who would likely get more money from someone else. Still, it makes sense for the team to do their due diligence and see exactly what they can accomplish with the little flexibility they have.
