There have been plenty of rumors surrounding the Lakers recently, one of which involves former Denver Nuggets guard JR Smith, who is currently playing in China. Smith signed with a Chinese team during the NBA lockout last summer, and is waiting for the Chinese season to begin before he can come back to the NBA.

There has been speculation that the Lakers might be interested in Smith, who has been a decent outside shooter during his career – which is an area where the 2012 Lakers are struggling.

Adding gasoline to the fire was Smith himself when he took to Twitter, asking how many seats are inside the Staples Center. However, before you get too anxious, Laker fans, he also asked how many seats Madison Square Garden holds as well.

How many people does staples seat?
