The Lakers are reportedly interested in trading Pau Gaosl, even if they won’t openly admit it. One trade rumor that was released today was the possibility of Gasol going to the Toronto Raptors.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Raptors reportedly sent the Lakers an offer for their 7-foot forward.

Stretch power forward Andrea Bargnani, veteran point guard Jose Calderon and fellow vet Linas Kleiza are among the players, sources say, whom the Raptors have discussed making available to the Lakers in a deal for Gasol.

Team management went on to say that they’re not looking to move Gasol, at least until Steve Nash has returned to the lineup. One of the reasons for acquiring Nash and holding onto Gasol in the off-season was to see how the two would work together on the court, so it makes sense for them to at least wait and see what they have there before making any drastic decisions.

Gasol has missed the last two games with knee tendinitis, and his status for Friday night in Oklahoma City is still uncertain.
