Lakers Rumors: Ryan Kelly Getting Closer To Return?

Ryan Kelly

The Los Angeles Lakers have already been decimated by injuries as Steve Nash, Julius Randle and Xavier Henry have all been lost for the rest of the season. The Lakers have also been without second-year player Ryan Kelly for the majority of the year.

Kelly injured his hamstring during training camp and played in only three games before re-aggravating the injury. According to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Kelly could be getting some work in with the team when they practice on Saturday:

Trudell added that if everything goes well, Kelly could begin to increase his workload in the beginning of next week:

Kelly showed some promise last season as a solid rotation player who can stretch the floor with his shooting ability. With the Lakers struggling with their shooting, Kelly could provide a major boost in that area.

Finding Kelly some minutes could prove to be difficult as Robert Sacre is the only true center on the team and has played decent as of late. He would be the most likely player to lose minutes if Kelly is able to find himself a spot in the rotation.
