With the NBA Draft less than three weeks away, the Los Angeles Lakers have been working out numerous prospects including Jahlil Okafor, D’Angelo Russell and Emmanuel Mudiay.

— Have you seen the ‘Bleed Purple and Gold’ phone case? —

Shortly following the NBA Draft, the Lakers will be major players in free agency with ample cap space. However, the Lakers will need to make decisions on their current players and according to RealGM’s Shams Charania, they are expected to pick up Robert Sacre’s team option:

The Los Angeles Lakers expect to pick up center Robert Sacre’s veteran-minimum team option, league sources told RealGM.

In addition, Charania shares the Lakers could potentially be looking into re-working a longer team deal with the 26-year-old center:

Sacre — solidifying himself as a viable reserve big man and defensive presence in three NBA seasons — has lost 15 pounds since the end of the Lakers’ season. He is under a guaranteed option at $981,348 for next season, and there’s a chance the Lakers could look into reworking a longer-term deal with the 26-year-old.

The Lakers drafted Sacre with the last pick in the 2012 Draft and has been with the team since. Over the last three years he has averaged 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 14.8 minutes. Outside of Sacre, the Lakers have other decisions to make concerning their front court depth.

The team owns a team option on Jordan Hill and will try to bring back Ed Davis. Many believe the Lakers will draft a big man with their No. 2 pick whether it be Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns or Duke’s Jahlil Okafor.
