The Los Angeles Lakers have been flirting with the idea of making a change. A few free agents were invited to workout for the team this week.

Gal Mekel, Dwight Buycks, Quincy Miller and Roscoe Smith were names mentioned as invitees, but the team is in no hurry to make a move, according to David Pick of Eurobasket.com:

The Los Angeles Lakers, I'm hearing, aren't making immediate moves after holding free agent workouts.

The rumor floating around Los Angeles earlier this week was Xavier Henry might be the player cut to make way for an incoming free agent. Miller appeared to be the most likely to be signed by the team, but now there’s no telling if the Lakers will actually make a move.

After a 34-point loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, the Lakers have fallen to 3-10 on the season. The team continues to struggle on the defensive end of the floor even though they’ve won two out of the last three games following the return of Nick Young.

On Sunday, Brian Shaw’s Denver Nuggets will come to town to face the Lakers at the Staples Center. The matchup against the Nuggets will be the first of a four-game home stand which includes games against the Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors.
