This summer will be an extremely important one for the Los Angeles Lakers as they look to re-build the team for the post-Kobe Bryant era. Big names like Rajon Rondo, Marc Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge are sure to be targeted, but could be unfeasible for the team.

As such, it would make more sense for the Lakers to target younger players such as Reggie Jackson and Jimmy Butler. Another name who hasn’t been mentioned much, but could be a target is Tobias Harris. According to Basketball Insiders’ Alex Kennedy, the Lakers could be an option:
The Los Angeles Lakers could be an option as well, since he would fit in with their young core and be the leading scorer that they need for life after Kobe Bryant. If teams like the Knicks and Lakers strike out on some of the big-name free agents, Harris could get a serious look.
Playing for the Orlando Magic has kept Harris under the radar, but he has had a truly breakout season, averaging nearly 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and two assists.
Harris would be a great addition if the Lakers were able to get him. He is only 22 years old and has plenty of room to grow into the top option that the Lakers need once Kobe is gone.
Harris is a restricted free agent which makes obtaining him more difficult as the Magic could match any offer he receives. However, with big name players unlikely, it’s players like Harris, Jackson, Butler and Greg Monroe who the Lakers could be targeting to turn the team around for the future.
