The Los Angeles Lakers summer league squad turned some heads in their 85-65 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, with the debuts of Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac. Ingram finished with 12 points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots and looked incredibly comfortable in his first game, while Zubac added three blocked shots, 11 points and five boards, after having just one practice under his belt.
D’Angelo Russell led all players with game-highs in points (20), rebounds (11), assists (6) and steals (3) and talked after the game about how impressed he was with both Ingram and Zubac. Larry Nance Jr. also had a solid performance finishing with 11 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots.
