With Kobe Bryant now a retired member of an elite club of Los Angeles Lakers legends, the spotlight is being shined on second-year point guard D’Angelo Russell. Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and even rookie Brandon Ingram have shown star potential, but it seems as though Russell is the one getting the star treatment off the floor.

Russell is the latest in the line of Lakers players to appear in an NBA commercial promoting all the games on Christmas Day. Russell, along with many other NBA stars set to play on Dec. 25, stars in the commercial making snow angels with San Antonio Spurs mascot, The Coyote:

Russell and the Lakers will host the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 25 as the last game of five scheduled to be played that day with tipoff at 7:30 p.m. PST. It’ll be the first Christmas Day game in 20 years that Kobe isn’t on the roster for the Lakers.

Along with the Lakers battling it out with Chris Paul and company at the Staples Center in the Christmas Day finale, a lot of the top-tier teams in the league will play prior the battle for Los Angeles.

The Boston Celtics will face the New York Knicks followed by the highly anticipated NBA Finals rematch between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. Pau Gasol will then take on his former team in the Chicago Bulls in San Antonio before the Russell Westbrook’s Oklahoma City Thunder host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
