Lakers Video: Josh Hart Celebrates Villanova Beating Michigan In NCAA Tournament Championship

Josh Hart was part of the last Villanova team to win the NCAA tournament, and amid breakout rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers, he got to go back, sit courtside and watch his alma mater do it again Monday night when the Wildcats knocked off Michigan 79-62 in the title game.

It wasn’t easy for Hart to get there. The Lakers rookie had to shoot his shot on Twitter to find a private jet flight heading to San Antonio, but he still made it to watch some of his teammates from last season raise a banner for the second time in three years.

Hart was taking live video of himself throughout the game, and when Villanova had officially won, he let loose with the same emotions any die-hard fan feels when they watch their team win it all, offering a reminder that despite being professional athletes, sometimes NBA players are just fans as well, via Bleacher Report’s Uninterrupted:

And because Hart is a fan, and a fan who said he wouldn’t be afraid to talk trash to his boss, Lakers general manager and Michigan alumni Rob Pelinka, it’s a safe bet he had some solid burns for the man who picked him in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Hart was also probably excited because the end of the NCAA tournament means he can stop worrying about college basketball and get back to another passion: Playing Fortnite. That, or playing for the Lakers.
