SAN FRANCISCO, CA - OCTOBER 7: Draymond Green #23 of the Golden State Warriors talks with LeBron James #23 and Anthony Davis #3 of the Los Angeles Lakers after the game on October 7, 2023 at Chase Center in San Francisco, California. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are no longer teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the two are still very close friends, as they were for their entire tenure together in L.A. as well as some years before. Another remnant of Davis’ time in L.A. is his TBS prank show, Foul Play.

Davis pulls hilarious pranks on celebrity athletes, and sometimes will enlist the help of other athletes to do so. In the most recent episode, James was pulled in to assist in a prank on Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, with an incredible result, via Bleacher Report and TNT Sports:

The prank involves Green and Rich Paul — his agent as well as James and Davis’ — sitting down for a meeting with a fake company seeking a potential celebrity investor. The prank is that the company is asking for $100 million in cash that same day, and seem to shame Green for not having that amount or being unwilling to give it.

The clip alone shows Green getting increasingly frustrated and insulted by the ask of $100 million, as well as the insinuation that he can’t afford the investment, not that he doesn’t want to give it. And right as he and Paul are at the height of the argument, Davis and James walk in to reveal the prank.

It’s an incredible joke that only works when the party doing the pranking and the party being pranked are close friends. Green’s entire demeanor changes when Davis and James walk through the door. It’s the type of thing that fans love to see, as they get a window into the genuine friendship between some of their favorite athletes.

Milwaukee Bucks respond to LeBron James’ comments

James recently was in the news for his commentary on the cities of Memphis and Milwaukee, saying that they are two places that he doesn’t like to play in at this stage in his career.

The Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies faced off against one another on Sunday, with the Bucks getting the win. Their social media team posted about the winning effort, captioning the standard final score graphic with “Won the matchup between everyone’s two favorite cities.”

This is a clear response to James’ comments, and the social media team captured on the opportunity perfectly. The post went viral and was seen as a hilarious response to the Lakers star, who clearly isn’t afraid to speak his mind at this stage of his career.

Ron's all time favorite Lakers moment was Bryant's final game when he dropped 60 points. While the Lakers beating the Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, as Metta World Peace hit the game clinching three, will always be a top option, Bryant's final night takes the cake.
