LeBron James has been having another stellar season despite being in Year 23, helping the Los Angeles Lakers stay pace in a competitive Western Conference.

The Lakers appear to be right on the outskirts of the inner circle of championship contenders but the team always has a chance in the postseason so long as James is healthy. While Los Angeles now runs through Luka Doncic and even Austin Reaves, James can still carry the load when called upon.

James’ longevity is one of the biggest reasons why he has an argument to be the GOAT, but he could have very easily pursued professional football as he was a highly-touted prospect in high school. While James made a wise choice in sticking with basketball, he remains an avid football fan for both the NFL and college.

James picking the Seahawks shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as they are considered the betting favorites over the New England Patriots. Seattle won the NFC West and finished as the No. 1 seed for the 2025 NFL season behind the league’s best defense and a revitalized offense led by Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Meanwhile, the Patriots won the AFC East and just finished second in the conference behind the Denver Broncos who they beat in the AFC Championship Game. Drake Maye had a career year and even finished second in MVP voting, falling short to Los Angeles Rams star Matthew Stafford. However, Maye’s growth as a passer and runner make New England dangerous against a Seattle defense that does well defending all three levels of the field.

James speaks highly of both teams in the video, but believes more in Seattle’s defense and the combination of Darnold and Smith-Njigba. While New England head coach Mike Vrabel deserves a lot of credit for turning their franchise around so quickly, he’ll have his hands full on Super Bowl Sunday.

Super Bowl LX should be a fun matchup between two of the NFL’s best teams and it’ll be interesting to see if James’ prediction turns out to be right.

Warriors’ Draymond Green’s always wanted to play with LeBron James

The Lakers beat the Warriors for their third consecutive win behind a strong night from LeBron James. Draymond Green spent most of the night on James but recently admitted how much he’s always wanted to play with James.
