Lakers Vs. Kings NBA Highlights: March 17, 2013

The Lakers hosted the Sacramento Kings on the first night of a back-to-back to continue their established rhythm since the All-Star Break. For the first time this season, the Lakers played without their star Kobe Bryant. Getting a victory tonight would be huge for the Lakers, as they would continue to close the gap between them and the bottom third of the Western Conference.

Lets get to the highlights.

At the first break in Staples, the Lakers lead the Kings 18-16. Isaiah Thomas leads all scorers with 6. Dwight Howard already has 6 boards.

The Lakers end the 1rd quarter with 33 points shooting 59% from the field. They’re up 33-27.

Dwight Howard is a rebound away from a double-double. He has 12 points and 9 rebounds mid way through the 2nd quarter.

At the half, the Kings and Lakers are all tied up at 56. Patrick Pattterson leads all scorers with 14. Howard has 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Steve Blake with a cold blooded jumper off the dribble to end the 3rd quarter and extend the Lakers lead to 86-76 going into the 4th.

We just ended here at Staples Center. The Lakers pulled out a 113-102 victory over the Kings.
