The Los Angeles Lakers not only finished victorious against the New York Knicks, they came out with a new Lakers franchise record in the process, scoring 51 points in the third quarter. Those 51 points also happened to be the most the Knicks have ever given up in a quarter in franchise history. Mike D’Antoni didn’t seem too moved by the new record, but he was impressed with Xavier Henry’s tremendous play despite a torn ligament in his wrist. He also had high marks for the rookie Ryan Kelly, who played more than any other member in the purple and gold.
