After splitting the first four games of the season, the Lakers embark on a three-game road trip that begins tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. Since March 2008, the Lakers have won eight out of their last ten in Dallas and have an opportunity to begin the road trip on a high note.

According to the Lakers media guide, the Lakers have gone an NBA-best 8-2 at American Airlines Center since Mar. 18, 2008.

Last night, it was reported that Jordan Hill did not make the team’s flight to Dallas after dealing with a bone bruise in his right knee. However, Hill flew commercial and is available to play tonight. Despite only playing 14.0 minutes a game, Hill has averaged 6.0 rebounds and his energy on the boards will be key if the Lakers want to have a successful road trip.

With the Lakers looking to win consecutive games for the first time this season, Mike D’Antoni revealed his keys to victory for not only tonight’s game, but for the road trip, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin:

D'Antoni: "Everybody should have assists, everybody should have 3s & everybody should be playing great defense. That's what works best"

With an 11-man rotation, the Lakers will focus on ball movement and having good energy on both ends of the court. The game tips-off tonight at 5:30 PM on TWC SportsNet.
