The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are the marquee matchup in NBA history. The two powerhouse franchises have had a countless number of classic duels throughout the years, and on Sunday night, a new chapter gets added to the book.
While the Lakers are struggling and Celtics are surging, Sunday night’s game has nothing to do with records. Instead, it’s about Kobe Bryant playing the Celtics one final time before he retires in just over a week.
The Black Mamba grew up watching tapes of Lakers great Magic Johnson taking on his Celtic rival, Larry Bird. Kobe understands just how much history and pride is at stake whenever the two clubs meet up, and we are sure to see him give his all to beat Boston one last time.
