The Los Angeles Lakers have one game left to play before the All-Star break, and it’s a daunting matchup with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Lakers bring a record of just 11 wins and 43 losses into the Wednesday night game, but will be hoping to catch the Cavs on an off night and get their 12th win.
Of course, for most fans, the game isn’t about who wins and who loses. Instead, it’s a chance to see Kobe Bryant take the floor one final time against James in Cleveland. The two superstars unfortunately never met in the NBA Finals, but at least we will get to watch them go head-to-head, even if the stakes aren’t particularly high.
The Lakers have been playing better basketball of late, winning two of their last four. The two losses came at a combined six points, which is a moral victory considering the opponents with the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs. Can Kobe and company spoil King James’ night?
