Los Angeles Lakers Vs. Indiana Pacers Postgame (VIDEOS)

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a five-game losing streak on Friday night, beating the Indiana Pacers 108-96, behind 27 points from Lou Williams off the bench and a solid performance from Brandon Ingram. The rookie matched up with Indiana’s Paul George for the majority of the game and finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. His three three-pointers and three steals both tied career-highs and his 15 points were just two notches short of his highest mark.

In Ingram’s first meeting against George and the Pacers (back in November), head coach Luke Walton said the rookie didn’t look like he was ready, but that all changed tonight. Ingram said he “absolutely” thought about his first matchup with George when getting mentally focused for Friday’s game.

Walton explains what’s impressing him the most and whether Ingram is advancing much farther along than he’d expect out of a 19-year old with just about half a season under his belt. D’Angelo Russell suffered a calf strain and a mild MCL sprain in the first quarter. He is expected to have an MRI on Saturday.
