The Los Angeles Lakers, fresh on the heels of their come-from-behind victory in Denver over the Nuggets, head home to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Los Angeles used a combination of Jordan Clarkson’s scoring and Kobe Bryant’s resurgent brilliance to put away the injury-depleted Nuggets, but the Thunder should offer a much more difficult challenge. The two teams met last Saturday in a game that never was in question, as the Thunder coasted to a 40-point win.
The Lakers will be hoping for a better showing at STAPLES Center, but realistically, they will need to put on their best performance of the season in order to give Oklahoma City any trouble. Los Angeles will also have to overcome the absence of forward Julius Randle (ankle) and guard Nick Young (stomach).
