The Los Angeles Lakers tied the record for the longest losing streak in franchise history, with their 10th consecutive loss on Sunday night, losing 101-82 to the Charlotte Hornets. Kobe Bryant scored a team-high 23 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals, knocking down four three-pointers, surpassing Peja Stojakovic for 12th-most made three-pointers in NBA history.
After the game, Bryant talks about the terrible Lakers season and what these young players need to do as a unit moving forward. Rookie D’Angelo Russell addresses the biggest issue this team has right now: communication.
Head coach Byron Scott says he’s worried about the team losing both hope and confidence. On the bright side, the Lakers signed Make-A-Wish recipient, Yitzi Teichman to a one day contract prior to the January 31st game versus the Charlotte Hornets.
