Metta World Peace Jokes About Trade Rumors on Twitter

Before heading into the 2012 NBA Draft on Thurs. June 28, Metta World Peace was one of two big-name players potentially on the trading block in order to acquire a pick in the first round. The rumors of World Peace being dangled as trade bait for a first-round pick in the draft may have rubbed the man formerly known as Ron Artest the wrong way with the controversial forward using Twitter to vent his frustration.

Not only did World Peace go on a rant for over two hours on Twitter during the draft, but his tweets were nothing short of hilarious with the veteran making fun of the constant trade rumors in Los Angeles.

Below is one of more than a dozen tweets about talking about hilarious trade scenarios via @MettaWorldPeace:

Obviously, World Peace hasn’t lost his sense of humor over these trade rumors and is having fun with all the speculation surrounding his future in Los Angeles.

It remains to be seen whether or not World Peace will be traded at one point during the NBA off-season, but in the meantime he’s going to have fun with the situation and continue to make people laugh even with an uncertain future with the Lakers.
