What once seemed like a pipe dream is starting to look like a serious possibility. Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports that LeBron James’ agent Rich Paul is pushing for James’ return to Cleveland:
At the urging of LeBron James’ agent, the Cleveland Cavaliers are pursuing a maximum contract salary slot to bring back the free-agent superstar, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Rich Paul, the president of Klutch Sports, has been funneling belief into the organization that the Cavaliers are in strong position to lure James from the Miami Heat, sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Cavaliers currently don’t have enough cap room to offer a maximum deal to James, but have been frantically searching for a third-team to take on Marcus Thornton’s contract in a trade that would send Jarrett Jack to the Brooklyn Nets.

James is the gem of this free agency class and was originally believed to be returning to the Miami Heat. But last week, James’ agent met with representatives from a number of different teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, and teams were hoping to be able to meet with James himself this week.
Now the Cavaliers have emerged as the ‘front runner’ to land James in some people’s eyes and they are expected to do everything possible to appease James, even taking the infamous Dan Gilbert letter off of their official team website according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst:
For 4 years, Dan Gilbert's letter after LeBron's decision has been on team website. It appears it was removed today: http://t.co/O256mqVtNs

With both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony yet to make decisions on where they will play next season, free agency has been on hold for the most part. But major dominoes could fall in the NBA soon.
