NBA: All Star Game-West All Stars Press Conference
There have already been some memorable quotes from All-Star weekend and it’s still only Saturday. The most recent came from San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, who spoke to the media on Saturday morning in Houston.

Popovich, who once again has his Spurs at the top of the Western Conference, was asked about the Lakers and if he feels they have the ability to turn things around after a rather dismal 25-29 start. Here’s what Popovich had to say;

“They’re a really good team, and they’re driven by Kobe’s spirit. They’ll find a way to get into the playoffs.”

Right now the Lakers are on the outside looking in at the playoff race, and are 3.5 games behind the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot.

Of course, making the playoffs isn’t something Popovich’s Spurs are worried about. San Antonio is in first place in the Western Conference at 42-12, and is a mere 17 games ahead of the Lakers.
