Over the past few days, rumors have been circulating that star forward Kevin Love could be headed to the Golden State Warriors in a three-team deal. The blockbuster trade appeared imminent, but now the deal is dead, according to Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher:

Sources: KLove deal to Warriors is dead. Love "unlikely" now to be dealt before draft.

With so much interest in Love’s services, trade talks will almost start up once again with either the Warriors possibly retooling their offer or other teams getting involved. Love’s immediate future appears to be with another team, but it still remains to be seen where he might land.

The Los Angeles Lakers were involved in the three-team deal with Klay Thompson said to be headed to Los Angeles. The Lakers would’ve sent their seventh pick in the upcoming draft to the Minnesota Timberwolves as a part of the deal, but it seems as though Los Angeles will hold on to the pick unless things change in the days leading up to the draft on Thursday.

It may only be a matter of time before Love is sent elsewhere, but as of right now, the three-time All-Star will have to wait a little longer before he’s playing for another team.

As for the Lakers, the Warriors and Timberwolves aren’t the only teams that the storied franchise has been rumored to be in trade talks with. The Philadelphia 76ers have also been a team mentioned as a potential trade partner with Steve Nash and the seventh pick possibly headed to Philadelphia in exchange for Michael Carter-Williams and Thaddeus Young.

Although it has been said that the Lakers are leaning toward keeping their lottery pick, a trade seems like a very realistic possibility for Los Angeles.
