NBA News: With Sacramento Kings Staying, Where Does Phil Jackson Go?

USA TodayWith news just breaking that the NBA Board of Governors have blocked the Kings move to Seattle, the question on everyone’s mind is how this affects Phil Jackson.

Jackson has been rumored to be eyeing an executive position with the Kings, had they been able to move to Seattle. In the past, Jackson has held conversations with prospective owner Steven Ballmer about the idea of joining the front office.

However, Jackson has rejected overtures from the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets for the same position and it seems like his list of destinations continue to shrink.

While it isn’t known whether or not Jackson would return to the sidelines, he seems keen on the idea of having personnel decisions and joining an NBA front office. Currently, Jackson is serving as a consultant to the Detroit Pistons as they hope to hire a new head coach in the near future.
