The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Philadelphia 76ers 103-102 on Wednesday night, led by Lonzo Ball with 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, five steals and two blocks. After being down by as many as 15 points, the Lakers creeped their way back up and played some solid defense in the final minutes to lock down a one-point lead.
Ivica Zubac, who struggled during the first three summer league games, stepped up and finished with 21 points, including two clutch free throws, which gave the Lakers the lead. Kyle Kuzma, the Lakers No. 27 draft pick had another strong performance finishing with a 13 points, 12 rebounds double-double.
LeBron James was sitting courtside and Ball talks about whether that gave him some inspiration. Ball also explains why he opted to go with the Nike Kobe ADs, rather than wear his signature Big Baller Brand sneaker.
After the game, summer league head coach Jud Buechler, said Ball is one of the best passers he’s ever seen at that level. It’s all in our post-game videos below.
