News from around the league on July 15th.

The Lakers were ready to sign another free agent on Wednesday; Raja Bell and Kobe Bryant were ready to have a meeting on a potential contract.  Well, let’s just say Raja didn’t forget his rivalry with Kobe.

The latest on the Lakers.

Raja Bell cancelled his meeting with Kobe, and decided not to sign with the Lakers. [ESPN Los Angeles]

So much for adding another defensive player; Raja Bell has decided to sign with the Jazz, not the Lakers. [LA Times]
