As part of an effort to raise money for lesser-privileged kids, a successful live auction with auctioneer Jim Nye, included the services of Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick “Swaggy P” Young and head coach Byron Scott. A lunch for four at the TrendyToast Cafe with Young sold for $2,500, but that paled in comparison to what a dinner with Scott sold for.

Dinner for six with Scott raised $12,000 for charity, supporting children, youth and family services and gang prevention and intervention. How much would you pay for a dinner with the head coach of the Lakers?

The live auction raised tens of thousands of dollars for children in need. To learn more about how you can get involved with the Toberman Neighborhood Center, check out www.toberman.org
