The Lakers’ only pick in this year’s NBA Draft, Ryan Kelly, spent time on Tuesday at the Panini America NBA Rookie Photo Shoot in New York. While we’ve seen him in Lakers practice gear, this is the first time he’s worn the official uniform and  also revealed he will wear the number four.

Here are some photos from the shoot via the Lakers Instagram:

Kelly was selected with the 48th pick for his abilities to stretch the floor as a big man. He was unable to participate in the Las Vegas Summer League after undergoing a second foot surgery in April.

He will be the eighth Laker in franchise history to wear the number four. Joe Hutton, Adrian Dantley, Byron Scott, Frankie King, Ron Harper, Luke Walton, and Antawn Jamison have all previously worn this number for the purple and gold.
