Pre-Game Report: Lakers vs. Jazz

Last night, the Lakers defeat the Nuggets 95 – 102. Kobe scored a team high with 18 points. The Lakers starters did well, unfortunately the bench still needs work.

Matt Barnes seems to need some work on the offensive and defensive end. Lately, Barnes has been letting his emotions get to him by reacting after a play. Hopefully that doesn’t become a problem during the season.

On the other hand, rookie forward Devin Ebanks had a team high 4 offensive rebounds in the end which he ended up with a total of 7 rebounds. Not too shabby. Carmelo Anthony didn’t play yesterday night.

Tonight the Lakers are looking to stop the hot Utah Jazz who have won 5 straight. The Jazz re-shaped their roster this summer by adding Al Jefferson to their front court, and lost Carlos Boozer in the process.

In the past few pre-season games, Al has been doing quite well and getting to know Sloan’s offense better. Deron Williams didn’t play his last game against the Clippers. Hopefully DWill will play tonight, for the Laker fans want Western competition.
