Ron Artest’s Back-up Name if Metta World Peace Was Taken

One of the only things making news in the NBA besides the lockout lately has been Lakers forward Metta World Peace. The artist formerly known as Ron Artest visited the Dan Patrick Show today to discuss the lockout, the Lakers, and his name change.

When Patrick asked Artest if he had a backup name ready if Metta World Peace was unavailable Artest stated that he did: Queensbridge.

Now I’m sure if that means he would have become Queensbridge Artest, Queensbridge World Peace, or simply Queensbridge, but none of these names would have been that surprising given Artest’s track record.
