Over the past few years, a lot of current and former players have been compiling their shortlist of the best of the best in NBA history. A lot of prominent players in the league today have talked about their “NBA Mount Rushmore” with Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant putting their two cents in.

On Monday, six-time NBA champion and Chicago Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen, was asked which players he’d have on his starting five. The only condition of the list is it cannot include any member of the 1992 Dream Team which featured Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird among many other Hall of Famers.

With the exception of former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal, every single player mentioned is still active in the NBA today, including Kobe Bryant. Pippen tweeted out the following response with to the question about his all-time starting five, via Twitter:

It is hard to argue with Pippen’s list of the greatest starting five compiled with players in the modern era. Although people will almost certainly figure out a way to rip this list apart or criticize things like putting LeBron James at point guard, it’d be incredibly tough to come up with a better list of players
