The Lakers have struggled mightily of late, losing five consecutive games, including their most recent game, to the Philadelphia 76ers, to kick off their four game home stand. Tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks they look to change things and their chances of that improve as center Pau Gasol is set to return to the lineup tonight.
While it is good to see Gasol return to the lineup, his future with the Lakers is in question, arguably more than any other time in his Lakers tenure, which is saying a lot considering how many times a Gasol trade has been discussed. News of a potential Gasol for Andrew Bynum swap is the latest rumor and it has to be an interesting one considering Bynum’s talent, and the Lakers lack of rim protection. Even if Gasol is not traded, it is looking extremely unlikely that the Lakers will re-sign Gasol this offseason.
Also sitting out practice: Jordan Farmar (left hamstring). He is expected to play Tuesday against Milwaukee however

This would be a trade and waive deal. The Lakers likely wouldn’t keep Bynum on the roster. Making the trade to save money. — Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) December 31, 2013

Last thing on Pau: He went through a full practice this morning and he couldn’t play at all last night?!
