Shootaround Report: Lakers Look To Extend Streak Against Wizards

Earlier this week the Lakers might have been having distractions with Kobe Bryant contract talks, but the Lakers have looked brilliant in this three-game winning streak. With the team firing on all cylinders they look to take advantage of a Bradley Beal-less Wizards squad to extend their streak to four.

Beal will be out at least two weeks with a leg injury, but don’t count out the Washington Wizards just yet. Their no. 1 pick in John Wall has been playing like the player the Wizards envisioned when they drafted him. Wall is coming off his two best scoring outputs of the year with a 37 and 31 point performance. With a Lakers squad that always had trouble containing point guards around the league, this could spell disaster.

Can Steve Blake continue orchestrating this well balanced Laker offense? Will Jordan Hill give another All-Star performance? If Pau is back to being Pau, then a fourth straight victory tonight will be extremely likely.

GM Mitch Kupchak addressed assembled beat writers to discuss Kobe Bryant’s two-year contract extension. Transcript: http://t.co/jnxrMO7zlC
