Shootaround Report: Lakers Looking To End Two-Game Slump
[new_royalslider id=”169″]

The Los Angeles Lakers have been demoralized, irritated, and frustrated about the turnout of the season. Many players in the locker room have already addressed their issues about the level of play. The team is looking for any sign of positive improvement when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.

The Grizzlies (31-24) are looking to move up their rankings into the playoffs as they currently sit in the ninth spot. In their last contest against the Lakers, Memphis was able to prevail with a win as Zach Randolph posted up a season-high in points and out-rebounded most of the Laker bigs in the paint.

The frustrations in the Lakers locker room last night’s loss against the Indiana Pacers was negative to say the least. And with the newly acquired guards Kent Bazemore and Marshon Brooks, the Lakers have been playing small ball in their most recent games. Since that addition, Lakers center Pau Gasol questioned the Lakers coaching staff’s decision on the change of play. And even Kendall Marshall voiced his frustrations of not having fun in the last few games that passed.

With all the negativity, the Lakers find themselves with no sense of urgency to captivate a win as they continue to play 48 minutes of basketball without a real identity.
