NBA: Preseason-Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Lakers

After a grueling two week road trip, the Lakers finally get to return home. Unfortunately for them, one of the league’s elite teams is awaiting them as Paul George and the Indiana Pacers are looking to improve on their league-best record.

Despite a couple of injury concerns, both Pau Gasol and Jodie Meeks will be in the lineup for the game today and they will be needed as the Pacers boast arguably the best defense in the entire NBA.

Paul George, who coincidentally, grew up a fan of Kobe Bryant, leads this Pacers team and has become one of the leading candidates for MVP this season, as well as one of the best all-around players in the league. With the massive Roy Hibbert patrolling the paint, Pau Gasol will have his work cut out for him if he intends on maintaining his recent high level of play.

Both teams come into this game struggling of late as the Lakers have lost four straight games while the Pacers have lost two of their last three.

Great to be back in LA and looking forward to playing one of the toughest teams in the league! #GoLakers

Kobe's timeline for return is being measured in "weeks, not days" according to the Lakers. He'll see a team doctor tonite for re-evaluation

Missed Magic's comments last nite on Leno. Said he liked D'Antoni "when he was with Phoenix." Also said Lakers need "a championship coach."
