Shootaround Report: Lakers Return Home To Face Sacramento Kings
[new_royalslider id=”169″]

Losers in eight of their last 10 games, frustration has once again set in for the Los Angeles Lakers.  Pau Gasol recently expressed his desire for the team to move the ball around and play with more discipline, which Mike D’Antoni responded to by saying the Spaniard should have kept his frustrations in-house.  Friday brings the Sacramento Kings to town, who are one and a half games ahead of the Lakers for last place in the Western Conference.

Nick Young will miss his third-straight game and the Kings will be without Demarcus Cousins, who was fined and suspended one game for punching Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverly.  Should the Kings and Lakers go small, advanced statistics suggest that would benefit the Lakers.  Xavier Henry is currently with the D-Fenders and could return to the Lakers on Sunday if he doesn’t experience any setbacks with his knee.  The Kings have also hovered around the bottom of the Western Conference for much of the season, but are 5-5 in their last 10 games, which is much better than the Lakers have been.

With only 24 games remaining, the outcome of Friday’s game will have an impact on the draft prospects for both teams, but it will not change their position in the conference standings.
