Shootaround Report: Lakers Take On Warriors After Four Days Rest

After a long four days of rest, the Lakers will be back in action against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are the same team the Lakers were playing when Kobe Bryant went down with his Achilles injury. With Bryant practicing for the first time on Tuesday, many speculated that it would be tonight that Bryant would make his much anticipated return. Bryant missed practice on Thursday due to soreness and it is safe to say that he will not be available for tonight’s game. However, returning before the end of this month has not been ruled out. Bryant told reporters when asked about making a return in November that it still is a possibility with a few games still left in the month.

With all the media focused on Bryant it is not looking too well for Steve Nash who is expected to miss another ten days. Nash has not played since Nov. 11 when he suffered a nerve root irritation, but the Lakers have been fortunate to have the recent play of Steve Blake. Chris Kaman is considered doubtful for tonight’s game due to back soreness. A win tonight will improve the Lakers’ home record to 5-3.

What are the keys to a Lakers’ win tonight? Is Steve Nash considering retirement?

Three-point shootout tonight? LAL’s 10.2 3-PT FGM per game rank behind only Friday’s opponent, GSW, who hit 10.6 a night.

The plan right now for @SteveNash is to go to Vancouver next week while the team is on the Eastern trip to work with his own therapist. — Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) November 21, 2013

Kobe did not practice today. Had a “little bit of soreness,” according to Lakers spokesman.
