In leading the South Bay Lakers to an undefeated 2-0 record in the 2018 NBA G League Showcase in Mississauga, Ontario, Los Angeles Lakers two-way guard Alex Caruso was named to the 2018 All-NBA G League Showcase Second Team.

Caruso averaged team-highs in points (20.5) and assists (6.5) over the two games of the showcase while helping South Bay beat the Lakeland Magic and Long Island Nets in the annual display of the league’s best talent.

Serving as the engine is nothing new for Caruso, who has averaged 18.4 points and 7.5 assists per game in 19 appearances for South Bay this season while splitting time between the G League and the Lakers as part of his two-way deal.

The contract allows for Caruso to spend up to 45 days on the Lakers roster while making an NBA salary.

Caruso was the only member of the South Bay Lakers to be honored on either the first or second team’s for the showcase. Full list of players to make the teams can be read below.
