SportsBlog’s Hanging with the Pros series had its latest sitdown with former Lakers player, Sam Perkins. Known as ‘Big Smooth,’ Perkins played 17 years in the NBA including more than two seasons with the Lakers in the early 1990s.

In the video, Perkins discussed a number of different topics with different writers from across the country, covering all of his playing days from North Carolina through his multiple NBA stops, as well as his life after basketball.

Perkins revealed a number of things from his Lakers days as well, including which former Lakers gave him the nickname of ‘Big Smooth’ and which Lakers legend made his list of favorite teammates of all-time.

A distinction was also given to Kobe Bryant by Perkins as he spoke briefly on the Lakers star player. Overall, the look into Perkins over 20 minutes was an interesting and fun one that everyone should enjoy. Here is the video below:
