Steve Nash Makes Introduction to Lakers Fans on The Tonight Show

After being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers and signing a three-year deal with the team, Steve Nash received quite a backlash from fans of the Phoenix Suns. Joining forces with Kobe Bryant on the division rival Lakers was a surprise to say the least and was considered to be virtually impossible by many, but it happened and Nash is still adjusting to his new surrounding in the City of Angels.

Nash’s first appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno went off without a hitch as the two-time NBA MVP talked about signing the Lakers. Nash made his introduction to the fans in Los Angeles with help from Leno and avid Lakers fan Justin Timberlake.

The new Lakers’ starting point guard also talked about why he chose to go with No. 10 and the backlash of leaving the Suns in favor of a division rival. Leno asked Nash if he’d ever been booed by fans at home. Nash went on to describe his first experience being booed while playing for  the Dallas Mavericks and how it was his brother’s first game watching him from the stands.
