The Los Angeles Lakers enter the summer looking to rebuild their roster. With plenty of cap space available the team will be using free agency as an important tool. While the Lakers will always be mentioned a possible destination for big-name free agents, Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report offers up three second-tier players the team could go after instead.

Since the team has needs across the board, two wing players and one big man were included in the list. The three Ding names brings up are Luol Deng, Wesley Matthews, and Kosta Koufos. Deng has a player option for 2015-16 and has yet to indicate if he will opt-in and return to the Miami Heat. As for Matthews and Koufos, the two are unrestricted free agents.
Matthews is an interesting case to follow after suffering a torn Achilles. He was a key part of the Portland Trail Blazers, but his market price his gone down after the injury. Koufos is currently playing for the Memphis Grizzlies while providing valuable bench minutes backing up Marc Gasol.
