VIDEO: Byron Scott On Nick Young’s Ejection, Kobe Bryant’s Fatigue

The Los Angeles Lakers lost a nail-biter to the Oklahoma City Thunder who were without Kevin Durant. Ultimately, the Lakers came up just one point short of a win, after Kobe Bryant missed a potential game-winning shot on the last play.

Bryant shot just 3-15, totaling nine points in the loss, at times looking fatigued on the court, which was surprising since the Lakers had not played a game since Monday. After the game, Lakers head coach Byron Scott said he’s not very concerned about Bryant. Scott considered that Wednesday’s practice may have been too much for Kobe, and he goes day-to-day with monitoring how Bryant is feeling.

As far as Nick Young’s flagrant foul and ejection, Scott said Young is much too valuable to their team, to overreact and get kicked out of the game.

Scott also discusses the play of Jeremy Lin and where the Lakers need to improve. Plus, Scott answers a question about why he decided to have Bryant take the final shot, rather than Lin who had the hot hand.
