Now that he is officially the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, Byron Scott has been making his media rounds lately. The most recent appearance was appearing on Fox Sports Live.

Scott continued to focus on the points that he has been making since being hired. One of the main ones being that he needs to change the mindset of this team, as well as relishing in the fact that Dr. Jerry Buss wanted him to be the Lakers coach.

He also took some time out to talk about Kobe Bryant, who he has kept in constant contact with this entire off-season. He seemed to indicate that Kobe is ready to prove some people wrong this season.

Overall, Byron made it a point to say that the Lakers will be trying to win a championship this year, and that it should always be their goal. He is extremely focused about returning the Lakers to their previous prominence.
