Los Angeles Lakers second-year guard D’Angelo Russell spent the past four days at Team USA Training Camp in Las Vegas, as a member of the USA Select Team. In an interview with LakersNation.com, Russell chats about his experience, which included building even more chemistry with fellow teammates Julius Randle and Brandon Ingram.
Russell also got the chance to pick the brains of some of the best in the NBA, which included having his first conversation with Carmelo Anthony. The New York Knicks forward recently said Russell has the talent to be a “top tier point guard in the NBA.”
Gregg Popovich was the head coach of the USA Select Team, and commended Russell for his communication throughout camp and his crafty play. After four days with Coach Pop, Russell opens up about his experience. It’s all in our video above. And, if you missed our one-on-one with Brandon Ingram, head here.
